The FCAC Summer Jamboree is almost here! For those new to the association, we have a Jamboree each summer on Father’s day weekend. The purpose of the Jamboree is to get the FCAC members out of Fort Collins for a weekend, do some camping, shooting, singing around the campfire, and just a general way to get to know more of the members personally. This year the Jamboree will be held June 14th-16th at Jack’s Gulch Group Camping area. The group camp allows other activities if you also desire (horseshoes, picnicking, hiking, campfires, etc…)
There is a limited amount of trailer camping spots (around 20) with 9 electric hook-ups and those will be available first come first serve. There is ample tent camping areas available too. The main campground will also be available for those who wish to camp in a more private area, however reservations are recommended.
The plan is to be there sometime early afternoon on Friday to set up the 3D course. The course will be available until noon Sunday. Volunteers to help set up and tear down will be much appreciated.
The FCAC plans on hosting a Saturday night pot luck if there is enough interest. The FCAC will provide hamburgers and hot dogs and the hope is your side dishes will provide the rest of the needed. Please let me know if you plan on attending, if you will be and how many will be participating in the pot luck, so that I may plan on having enough food.
I am looking for an individual who can tow the 3d Trailer to and from Jack’s Gulch. I’d also like to hear from you if you plan on assisting with the 3d course set-up and take down, and cooking assistants. A sign-up sheet will be posted in the clubhouse which you can access on Wednesday nights. Please help by volunteering to make the Jamboree a success.
